Again, it’s more complicated than it sounds. Instead of being immersed in water, this unique system cools the chickens with fresh, filtered cold air. Each chicken is individually suspended and travels just slowly enough through a chilling tunnel to cool down the meat at exactly the right rate.
The Nature Select air-chill chamber utilizes a Stork Food Systems’ single layer infra-Chill system which cools the chicken as rapidly as possible using high-velocity air. The process takes approximately two hours and consists of a two-mile system of tracks. The result of this air-chilling is a naturally great taste with no water added.
